All the fabrics and upholstery materials we use for our products comply with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988 (amended 1989 and 1993). These regulations cover the safety of upholstered furniture in the domestic setting.

 

Each product is labelled with a batch number and the appropriate fire safety information in accordance with these regulations.

Non-Domestic Setting

 

Fire safety of upholstered products in the commercial and non-domestic settings are covered by the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005.

 

These regulations do not specify precise ignition resistance requirements for furniture and furnishings. However, they do require that a fire safety risk assessment is performed by the Responsible Person This includes an assessment of the particular level of resistance to ignition of furniture and furnishings.
